Teaching barefoot is rather refreshing. It makes you feel like it’s continually summer, it keeps you cooler, and it grounds you.
The other side of teaching barefoot is that you have to watch out for the many pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, erasers, etc. that are on the ground. There is also no protection for the varying floor heights so stubbing one’s toe becomes common practice.
But overall it is a wonderful experience!
What’s even better? Playing football (soccer) and basketball with the kids barefoot!
Did I mention your feet get a little dirty too?
